La Icom BP-288 è la batteria originale al litio da 7,2 V e 2350 mAh per le radio aeronautiche della serie IC-A25. È il pacco batteria che dà autonomia piena alla radio, con circa 10 ore e mezza di funzionamento dichiarate in uso tipico.

Il corpo è certificato IP57, quindi resiste a polvere e immersione temporanea: montata sulla radio mantiene la tenuta dell'apparato, cosa che una batteria compatibile di terze parti non sempre garantisce.

Averne una seconda di scorta è la soluzione più semplice al problema classico del volo lungo o della giornata operativa intera: si sostituisce in pochi secondi, senza fermarsi a ricaricare.
