Warranty Management
BPG RADIOCOMUNICAZIONI S.r.l. undertakes to be liable for manufacturing defects that manifest within the warranty period.
All products sold on this site, in addition to being covered by the legal guarantee for conformity defects, are also covered by the manufacturer's commercial warranty according to the procedures illustrated in the documentation included in the product packaging, which is in addition to, but does not replace, the legal warranty of 24 months due by right to "B2C Customers," under the conditions provided by law.
To assert the legal conformity warranty, the Consumer must send an email to shop@bpg.it with the subject line clearly stating Warranty Service Request, providing their name, surname, company name (if applicable), email, phone number, invoice number, product model or reference number, order number, reason for the request, and an accurate description of the problem.
Proof of purchase (invoice or delivery note) is essential for warranty management.
Afterwards, the Customer must wait no more than 48 hours (working days) to be contacted by the Repair Service to:
- Verify that it is a defect or a configuration issue, etc.;
- Verify if the product is covered by the legal conformity warranty;
- Verify if the product is covered by a commercial warranty extension;
- Receive the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number identifying the case, which will be communicated with instructions on the procedure to follow for repair or replacement;
The product must be returned to the Company, if possible, in its original packaging, complete in all its parts (including packaging and any documentation and accessories: manuals, cables, etc.). It is forbidden to affix labels or adhesive tapes directly to the product's original packaging.
In case of a conformity defect, the Consumer has the right to have the goods restored to conformity, free of charge, by repair or replacement, or to an adequate reduction in price or termination of the contract, as provided by art. 135 bis of the Consumer Code.
Product repair or replacement will not be carried out if they are impossible or involve disproportionate costs for the Company. In all other cases, they will be free of charge and will be carried out within a reasonable period from the Consumer's notification of the conformity defect.
Subject to any other exclusions or limitations contained in these Conditions, the warranty will not be enforceable in the following cases:
1. Improper installation or use of the product;
2. Damage, negligence, or lack of supervision or maintenance by the Customer;
3. Wear due to normal use of the product, component, or part;
4. Software failures, errors, or viruses;
5. Unforeseeable events or, if foreseeable, unavoidable, such as acts of God and/or force majeure;
6. Exposure to stresses or loads and/or mechanical tensions not conforming to generally accepted use;
7. The product or a part or component thereof has been repaired, altered, replaced, adapted, sealed, tampered with, or modified by the Customer or third parties;
8. The product has physical damage;
9. Incomplete products due to missing components originally sent (e.g., batteries, cables, power supplies, etc.);
10. Liquid infiltration with pressure exceeding the maximum limit;
11. For rechargeable batteries: use at high temperature, left inactive or discharged or overcharged beyond the maximum limit, use with a number of charge cycles exceeding what is indicated.
If it is found that the defect does not constitute a conformity defect, the Consumer will be charged for any verification and eventual restoration costs, as well as transportation costs if incurred by us.
Exceptions/Warranty Limits
The only exception to what was previously stated concerns rechargeable batteries, for which the legal warranty period for conformity defects is 24 months from purchase. Since these are consumable items, no commercial warranty extension applies to batteries.
For used products available in the Outlet, the maximum liability period for the legal warranty is 12 (twelve) months.
For professionals and legal entities (VAT registered) "B2B Customers," the commercial warranty is applicable for a maximum term of 12 (twelve) months.
If, following our intervention, the defect found by the Customer is not covered by the warranty, the Customer will be charged for any verification and restoration costs, as well as transportation costs, if incurred by the Company.
Important notes:
- Incomplete requests will not be processed;
- Descriptions of incidents such as "not working" or "error" will not be accepted. The problem must be specified in detail;
- If the product runs on batteries, before opening the request, it is advisable to replace them to rule out wear or defectiveness. (As consumable items, they have a warranty of only 6 months);
- Before shipping under warranty, terminals with a personal address book must be restored to factory settings and personal data deleted;
- Software problems are not covered by warranty;
- For the return of equipment that is beyond the warranty terms (physical damage, expired, etc.), it will not be possible to manage its repair or replacement. In these cases, the Customer will receive an email with the following options:
- Retrieve the material sent through the Customer's own means;
- Allow the material to be disposed of in our facilities;
- If we do not receive a response to this communication within 3 months of receiving the material, we will proceed with disposal; - Sending this warranty service request email does not imply authorization of warranty management; this is subject to the approval of the technical department;
- The following cases will be excluded from warranty management:
- Products showing physical damage;
- Incomplete products due to missing components originally shipped (e.g., batteries, cables, power supplies, etc.);
- Consumable materials;
- Manipulation of the product that alters its original functionalities or incorrect use, abuse, improper storage, excessive drops or impacts;
- Corrosion, dirt and/or dust, liquid infiltration; - If, after the relevant tests carried out by the technical service, the returned product shows no anomalies, the Customer will have the option to manage its collection with their own means or request its shipment at their expense. The Customer will receive an email where they can select the desired option.
- The warranty for incomplete equipment or equipment with missing accessories will not be accepted. The shipment of missing accessories will be at the Customer's expense.
