Hytera POC Portable Radios
Recently, a well-known concrete company contacted us asking for a solution for their business communications. With several concrete mixers and machinery on the move, using classic two-way radios proved impractical due to the need to install radio repeaters, which is a very costly operation.
To solve the problem, they chose Hytera POC radios. These radios use LTE and Wi-Fi networks to enable communications without distance limits at reduced costs. Furthermore, they offer the advantage of communicating instantly by simply pressing the side PTT button.
Hytera POC portable radios offer a 21-hour battery life and, thanks to the control center, can be located in real-time and their recent movements viewed. In addition, the control center allows for the creation of dynamic work groups.
This functionality is particularly useful for companies like this, where different groups operate in different locations. This way, private groups can be quickly created for devices in a specific area, ensuring efficient and private communications.
Vehicle POC Radio Installation
In addition to providing each operator with a portable POC radio, our BPG Radiocomunicazioni team installed vehicle POC radios.
It was necessary to install an external antenna, a somewhat complicated operation that our technicians Roberto and Fabio managed to perform with the utmost precision and accuracy.
The vehicle radio was equipped with a Bluetooth microphone, which allows the operator in the concrete mixer to communicate freely without any cables. The Bluetooth microphone, connected to the radio, allows the operator to transmit and receive even when getting out of the vehicle, within a range of a few meters.
The Hytalk Control Center
The Hytalk Control Center is accessible from any device. Through the dedicated web page, it is possible to perform GPS localization and geofencing, tracking each user and viewing their route history, also signaling any exit from their work area.
The Control Center also allows for the creation of private groups, reserved exclusively for selected devices or those located in a certain area. From the control center, it is indeed possible to trace a work area, within which all radios present can transmit and receive.
In addition to these functions, the Control Center allows communication with a single specific terminal or with a group of radios, also allowing the sending of photos/videos and text messages.
